Osaka 25
For the unveiling of the French Pavilion at the Osaka 2025 World Expo, taking place from April 13 to October 13, 2025, Tectona and the Mobilier National announce the creation of an exclusive furniture range for the French Pavilion. Following a project call conducted with the support of Villa Noailles, led by Jean-Pierre Blanc, the jury—comprising design specialists—selected the project by designer Jean-Baptiste Fastrez for the French Pavilion at Osaka 2025.
A stackable collection
Following a project initiated by Villa Noailles and Mobilier National, Jean-Baptiste Fastrez was selected and is presenting the Osaka 25 collection for the France Pavilion. Edited by Tectona, this collection consists of a stackable chair, armchair, and table. The aluminum structure of the seats is softened by the ash wood of their seat and backrest. The tables feature stainless steel legs for rigidity and an aluminum top for lightness. Presented in black in Osaka, the collection will be available in other colors upon request.

“It is with pride and humility that I follow in the footsteps of iconic creators by representing France in Osaka. My project will pay tribute to the design of our country: sober and offbeat, rooted in tradition yet projected toward the avant-garde.” Jean-Baptiste Fastrez, award-winning designer.
