  • Teak

Teak is a dense wood with a warm colour and a high oil content that acts as a natural protection against the elements. If left untreated it will take on a fine grey patina.

    CARE
It is highly recommended that you clean your furniture once a year. Use water with a bit of washing-up liquid or soap to remove all the impurities.

Teak does not rot as it is a dense wood with a high oil content. Therefore, it does not need to be painted and it is well suited to outdoor use. Furthermore, teak is a supple wood making it able to tolerate different climates and adapt to different terrains.

To conserve the original colour of your furniture:
After cleaning your furniture with soapy water and a brush, you may apply a coat of Wood Sealant* to slow down the greying process. This product is also effective against stains (tabletops).

Your furniture has become grey and you want to restore its original appearance:
Furniture that has never been cared for can be cleaned with Net Trol** to remove all impurities, stains, mould and previous treatments. After cleaning your furniture, you can apply the wood sealant.

You wish to let time work its magic:
No treatment is required. Over time, the wood will naturally take on a silver-grey hue.

You just accidentally stained your furniture:
Non-greasy stains can be removed by washing away with water. Greasy stains require the use of a textile cleaning product.

  • Painted wood

In the style of English or French gardens, we use balau, a very dense and hard essence that does not secrete oil. These characteristics ensure that paint adheres and make balau particularly well suited to outdoor use. In the summertime, fine cracks may appear on the surface, under the effect of dilatation; this has no effect on resistance but necessitates occasional touch-ups.

  • Woven resin

Woven resin is a durable synthetic fibre made from polyethylene. It keeps its colour and is fully recyclable. We use it, like in traditional basket weaving, in the form of flat, rounded, and, this year, rattan-like fibres.

Fibreglass is a material that we obtain by combining a polyester resin gel coat with several layers of glass cloth impregnated with polyester resin to form a highly resistant structure. Fibreglass is also known for its resistance to chemical and natural (UV) aggressions.

  • Parasols canopy

Our parasols have acrylic or cotton canvas canopy.
    - Acrylic canvas canopy:
Sunbird and Colibri parasols and the Butterfly tent have acrylic canvases. The Florida model has a Textilene canvas, which can be cared for as Batyline.
    - Cotton canvas canopy:
Parasols with a varnished pine mast have a waterproofed cotton canvas.

    CARE
    - Acrylic canvas canopy:
Cleaning with soapy water and a brush is perfect for acrylic canvas canopy.

    - Cotton canvas canopy:
This canvas should be dusted off and cleaned uniformly with a hose. Detergents should be avoided, as they would remove the water-repellent property.

    - Store your parasol in a dry place in its cover or old sheets; never store it under plastic. We recommend that you store it indoors during winter.
