Batyline is a pre-stressed synthetic fabric that is exceptionally resistant: it keeps its colour in all conditions of exposure to sun or rain, yet it is both light and supple to the touch. The ecru we have chosen blends perfectly with the natural hues of teak. This is the genesis of the armchair and chair in the Southampton line–modern furniture, well suited to everyday living. In its folding version, inspired by the “director’s chair”, two models are available this year. The absence of a bar at the height of the knees makes for added comfort, while the crossed legs ensure easy folding and reinforce its stability.
